Turkey to decrease gas imports

Turkey is going to decrease the amount of natural gas it purchases by 2023, the country's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz says.

At the moment Turkey spends $12 billion on gas per year. The country is going to enhance production of natural gas within the country and thus decrease imports, the minister explained.
