The body of Ibrahim Todashev, who was killed by an FBI agent, arrived today by plane in Chechnya, accompanied by Todashev's father and widow.
The father of Ibrahim, Abdulbaqi Todashev, spoke about the difficulties faced by the family when returning the body to the homeland, such as when documents were not returned to them. Abdulbaqi Todashev promised that he would conduct his own investigation into what happened.
"We have hired lawyers, who will be engaged in an independent investigation. This is a blatant case of the authorities coming into someone's home and executing a man," RIA Novosti quotes him. Todashev stressed that his son was killed unjustly.
Ibrahim will be buried in his native village of Suburban, near Grozny.
