Working groups and special commissions have been formed to select the best graduates of Karachay-Cherkessia for studies at universities.
Nadezhda Pivovarova, deputy head of administration and government of Karachay-Cherkessia, noted that children of socially unprotected families and handicapped children had the right for purposeful selection.
About 140 spots for students entering 20 universities, including some of the most prestigious ones of Russia, will be granted under purposeful selection.
