Andrey Rezanov has been convicted of the murder of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, Adilgerey Magomedtagirov, and sentenced to 15 years in prison. This decision was made by the North Caucasus District Military Court.

As reported earlier by Vestnik Kavkaza, the state prosecutor asked for 22 years in jail. The former lieutenant pleaded guilty. At the request of the accused, the case was considered by the court in special circumstances , that is, without examining the evidence and considering the recognition of Rezvanov's guilt.
Adilgirey Magomedtagirov was killed by a sniper shot on June 5, 2009 in Makhachkala, when leaving the banquet hall "Marrakech", where he attended the wedding of the daughter of his subordinate.
