Two Iranian missile ships Peykan and Jushan of the Sina project are on a visit to Astrakhan under command of Captain Mohammad Hasan Azerpeykan, ITAR-TASS reports.
The ships encountered the Volgodonsk small artillery shop and followed it on River Volga. A special ceremony was organized at the Square of Peter I. Iranian sailors were greeted by the authorities of the Caspian Flotilla and the Astrakhan Region.
The guests will stay until July 1 and will visit museums, meet Russian sailors and have sports competitions.
