Moscow police said today that it will soon begin a massive operation on catching illegal immigrants, unlicensed taxi drivers and burglars. "On Monday we begin preventive operation "Barrier-1", aimed at fighting crime," the head of the Moscow Interior Ministry, Anatoly Yakunin, said.
During the operation, the police will intensify their fight against counterfeit goods, illegal taxis, robberies, ethnic crime and illegal immigrants.
