Victor Ivanov, head of the Russian Federal Drug Control Service proposed formation of a center for anti-drug operations within the framework of the CSTO, Interfax cites the official at a meeting with drug control authorities of CSTO member-states in Moscow today.
The center will organize operations to fight drug trafficking from Afghanistan by cooperating with Iran and Pakistan. Ivanov noted that such center will be especially needed in the light of NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014.
