Six people have been hanged in Iran after being charged with drug smuggling, the head of Kerman Prosecution Service told Fars News Agency on July 4.
The sentenced people, who were accused of smuggling 339 kg of heroin and 199 kg of opium, were executed in Bam.
During the last six months, at least 133 Iranians have been executed.
Iran ranks second, after China, in terms of the number of executions in the world.
