The Georgian Interior Ministry today spoke about the seizure of 116 kilograms of heroin from a citizen of Turkey and a citizen of Moldova in Akhaltsikhe (Samtskhe-Javakheti region). Two men were travelling in a Mercedes truck in which the heroin was hidden.
"A search of the truck with the help of a variety of technical means revealed heroin in large quantities in pre-packaged 232 500-gram packages hidden in special places in the vehicle. The total weight of heroin was 116 kg," the statement of the Ministry reads.
