Some of the terrorists who attacked the security forces in the Chechen Republic have been wounded, the republican Interior Ministry reports.
It was previously reported that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced that Rustam Saliev, known as Abu Muslim, the leader of a group operating in the Achkhoi-Martan district, had been killed during a raid. According to the NAC, he was a close associate of the terrorist Doku Umarov.
Security officials are continuing an operation to identify possible accomplices of the terrorist and their hideouts.
"The police officers involved in the raid, found traces of blood ... which also suggests that the militants have been wounded," RIA Novosti quotes an official statement.
