Svetlana Hapchaeva, the first deputy minister, will become the acting Minister of Education of Karachay-Cherkessia after Boris Spiridonov was arrested on July 7.
"Svetlana Hapchaeva, the deputy minister has been appointed acting Minister," RIA Novosti quotes the offical statement. According to the press service, the ministry is working normally.
Boris Spiridonov was arrested on suspicion of taking a bribe to help a student pass the USE. On Monday, the second phase of the USE is taking place. According to the Interior Ministry of North Caucasian Federal District, Spiridonov received 650,000 rubles from the parents of two school graduates.
