Today in the Dagestani village of Gedzhukh a major terrorist attack against the police was prevented. Two bombs with a total capacity of 150 kg of TNT were found and defused.
"According to the operational headquarters of the NAC, the bombs were intended for one of the police posts on the Kavkaz federal highway. The bandits were planning to drive to car bomb up to the post and to implement a suicide bombing," RIA Novosti quotes an official report.
Both bombs were fitted with mechanical detonators and stuffed with ballistic elements, a typical weapon of suicide bombers.
Currently, there is no threat to the civilian population, the NAC says.
