The law enforcers were attacked by militants in a counter-terrorism operation in Nalchik, RIA Novosti cites Matina Kyasova, spokeswoman of the Kabardino-Balkarian Interior Ministry.
The police received an anonymous call at about 5.35 am on Friday, reporting about three armed men on the outskirts of Truzhennik in Nalchik. The operation started at 5.45 am. The counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed between the Streets of Lenin, Atajukin, Tarchokov and the administrative border of the Chegensky District.
