Professor Stefan Svallfors of the Umeo University, a member of the Swiss Academy of Sciences, has filed a letter to the Nobel Committee promoting ex-agent of the CIA Edward Snowden for the Nobel Prize for Peace, ITAR-TASS reports.
The lists for the prize were closed on February 1, so Snowden will have to wait for the list of 2014.
The EU received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012, US President Barack Obama received it in 2009.
