Abdula Abdulkerimov, one of the militants involved in an incursion of Dagestan in August 1999, may get a life sentence for the act, RIA Novosti reports.
According to investigators, militants Shamil Basayev, Khattab, Bagaudin Magomedov and other extremists of the Wahhabi movement recruited Abdulkerimov in Chechnya in 1996-1999.
The militants entered the Botlikhsky District of Dagestan from Chechnya on August 7, 1999, to take control of the republic. About 90 people and 290 were injured in clashes with the law enforcers.
