Bekov gets over 1 year of prison for mass disorders

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court has sentenced Magomed Bekov to 1 year and 3 months of prison for mass disorders at Sagra in mid-2011, ITAR-TASS reports.

The case of Bekov was put under individual process because he was hiding from the police. He was caught in Ingushetia in July 2012 and taken to Yekaterinburg. 6 out of 23 people charged got jailed on March 19. Others got suspended sentences.

The mass disorders in Sagra on July 1, 2011, as a result of a conflict of the Lebedev couple and local residents. A group of young people took a sawn-off shotgun, traumatic guns, metal pipe, baseball bats, sticks and other weapons and opened fire in Sagra, threatening the population. A young person was killed in a mass fight that followed.
