'Explosion attempt' on Ahmadinejad was a firecracker

The authorities of Iran said that a firecracker, not a bomb, exploded in the path of the cortege of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Al Arabiya reports, citing a source in the president’s press-service. Iranian television channel al-Alam TV said that the firecracker was set off to greet the president.
