Over 300 Cossacks to enforce security at Olympic Games of Sochi

Over 300 Cossacks will enforce security during the Olympic Games of Sochi in 2014, as stated by Vice Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Jambulat Khatuov on Friday.

Police Chief of the Krasnodar Territory Vladimir Vinevsky said that the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in the region was concluding preparations for the Games and paid special attention to protection of the public order and security.

He noted that the crime rate was falling. Cossacks helped solve 286 crimes in 2013.
