The Fatwah Committee chaired by Chechen Mufti Sultan Mirzayev has been formed at the Muslim Administration in Chechnya, Chechnya.gov.ru reports.
The committee was formed under the order of Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov and consists of officials from the department for relations with religious and public organizations of the Chechen Presidential and Governmental Administration, Put TV Company named after A-K. Kadyrov, imams of the Heart of Chechnya Moscow, teachers of the Russian Islamic University named after Kunta-Haji Kishiyev and other theologists.
The first session of the committee was held at the Grozny Mayor’s Office, chaired by Deputy Mufti M. Khiytanayev to discuss zakyat payments. Theologists were selected to read preachments on the topic. The issue will be discussed at the next session of the Fatwah Committee in a week.
