On Thursday the Georgian parliament adopted a package of documents to increase cash compensation to the bereaved families of soldiers killed in combat. From now on, if a Georgian soldier dies in the performance of an international mission his family will receive a lump sum of 100 thousand GEL.
Families of the soldiers who died during the defense of the territorial integrity of Georgia, including those who were killed in the 1990s, as well as those who die in international missions next year, are to receive every month 500 GEL, and from 2015 - 1000 GEL per month.
