The ecological situation in Moscow will not improve until Tuesday next week, when the wind changes direction, RIA Novosti reports, citing a specialist from the ‘Fobos’ weather center.
The concentration of carbon gases in the atmosphere exceeded the permissible level on Friday by 4 times and the amount of suspended particles by 3 times. The wind is currently south-easterly, at a speed of 2-7 m per second. On Tuesday the wind will start coming from the west and then the north-west.
A cold atmospheric front is coming from St. Petersburg, but it will not reach the capital until Tuesday. The temperature will fall to 30 degrees C.
