Vasily Tikhonov, 55, son of ice hockey coach Victor Tikhonov has died in Moscow today. His body has signs of falling from the 4th floor, ITAR-TASS cites Sergey Stukalov, spokesman of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow.
The police found a kitchen knife he was probably using to cut a construction net. He had fear for thieves.
Russian hockey player Pavel Bure cancelled his conference in RIA Novosti. He reminded that Victor Tikhonov had allowed him to play in his team at the age of 16. Bure said that he was playing in the national team in the late 1980s. He noted that he met Vasily when he was an NHL coach in San Jose.
