Smog still covers Moscow on Sunday morning. The visibility is about 200 meters in some districts and the smell of smoke is still in the air.
Flights are being delayed, mostly at Domodedovo airport (26 departures and 10 arrivals), where visibility is 800 meters, reports RIA Novosti. Some flights are also delayed at Vnukovo, while Sheremetyevo airport is operating at full capacity.
The concentration of carbon monoxide in the Russian capital is now three times the normal indicator. The environmental situation may stabilise in the evening, experts suppose.
According to preliminary forecasts, the south-easterly wind carrying the wild-fire smoke to Moscow will continue for at least two more days.
The highest concentration of carbon monoxide and other hazardous substances in the air was registered this Saturday.
