Odessa will mark the City Day by founding the Azerbaijan and Istanbul Parks on September 3, 1news.az reports.
The agreement to build the Azerbaijan Park in Odessa, similar to the Heydar Aliyev Park in Kiev, was signed in 2012. Azerbaijan will built the park on 2 hectares of land.
Construction of the Istanbul Park has been ongoing since early 2007, when Turkish Consul General in Odessa Ranan Sekeroglu requested its construction. Svetlana Boyeva, director of the department for international relations of the city council, said that its realization had started when the new authorities had taken office.
