Ingush leader Yunus-bek Yevkurov says people should struggle against negative stereotypes concerning Caucasian people and not with labels such as "individuals of Caucasian nationality."
According to Yevkurov, nowadays the media focus mainly on negative events, such as ethnic crime, inappropriate behaviour etc. It's very important to explain to the general public that Caucasian people are different, that while there are criminals, there are also talented scientists and real heroes.
"Just remember the young Dagestani man who saved drowning people in Moscow, or the Ingush lad who helped people to leave a burning night club in Perm, while he himself was badly injured," the head of the Ingush republic says.
