Mashuk Youth Camp 2010 opens

On Monday, the first all-Caucasus youth educational camp “Mashuk-2010”, opened at Komsomolskaya Polyana near the Mashuk mountain in Russia's Pyatigorsk region, reports RIA-Novosti. “It is not like the smoke-covered “Seliger”, it's our common southern camp of the Caucasus, it's our common home. We expect therefore the camp to help children to know better their national customs, culture, each other, for it is they who will be in charge tomorrow”, said Valery Gayevski, Stavropol Territory governor. The camp will last until the 27th of August. During the week there will be courses: “Project management”, “Effective communication” and “Intercultural cooperation”. The children will also present their own projects, the best of which to be awarded a grant from a 10 million ruble fund. The most talented youngsters from seven North Caucasus districts and Abkhazia and South Ossetia are taking part in the camp.
