Youth educational camp “Mashuk-2010” opens in Pyatigorsk

The first all-Caucasus youth educational camp “Mashuk-2010”, opened today in Pyatigorsk. Before the opening ceremony a Day of Pyatigorsk celebration took place. Yuri Oleynikov, the president's deputy envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District, pointed out that the camp is for discussion, and to listen to the young people of the region. Archbishop Theophan and mufti Muhammad Rakhimov also addressed the participants of the camp. The main goal of the forum, initiated by the Russian president, is to give the chance to youngsters to start an international and interfaith discussion. The most talented youngsters (2,000 people) from seven North Caucasus districts and Abkhazia and South Ossetia are taking part in the camp. They will meet with authorities and specialists in many spheres.
