Russia is marking the Day of Solidarity in Fighting Terrorism, related to the Beslan tragedy of September 1-3, 2004, RIA Novosti reports.
334 people (186 of them being children) were killed by terrorists who broke into school N1 in the morning of September 2004.
The North Ossetia mission at the Russian president’s office and the Moscow Ossetian Community organized the commemoration processes. Heads of the two organizations Zurab Makiyev and Valery Kabolov, football coach Valery Gazzayev, South Ossetian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Medoyev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Alexander Torshin and actor Vadim Tsallati attended the ceremony.
