The police have been searching through the house of Magomet Amirov, an MP of Dagestan and son of Makhachkala ex-Mayor Sayid Amirov, RIA Novosti reports.
Sayid Amirov, Mayor of Makhachkala since 1998, was detained on June 1. He was taken to the Makhachkala Airport and then to Moscow, where he was arrested. The Basmanny Court of Moscow deprived him of the mayor’s rank in mid-June to prevent any pressure on witnesses. Amirov refuses to admit murder of an investigator.
