290 million rubles have been spent on fire security. According to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia, there are fires in 22 constituent parts of the Russian Federation and the situation is especially complicated in the Belgorod, Voronezh, Ivanov, Lipetsk, Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ryazan, Tambov regions, Mordovia and Chuvash.
The fires have killed 53 people and injured 806.There were two fires today covering 5.7 hectares. The first one was in Izobilnen forest and the second – in Nizhniy Kumsk forest, covering 1.2 hectares. August is the season with the highest fire threat, Oder noted.
There have been 548 fires since August, covering 1,060 hectares. 14 of the fires are on agricultural lands, covering 284.25 hectares. There are 196 forest routes to patrol, 6375 km long. 28 mobile fire brigades and 30 voluntary fire brigades were mobilized. The Ministry of Emergencies is helping put out large fires.
They are cooperating with the structures of Karachay-Cherkessia. Over 4,000 people and 699 units of engineering are involved. Stavropol Territory has a forest area of 129,100 hectares (2% of the total area). 114 000 hectares of them are federal property.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection are preventing fires. There are 9 forest sectors and 12 forest districts in the region. There have been 6 fires in the forest last year, covering 49.68 hectares. Large fires covering 25 hectaresband over were prevented. The damage created by the fires were equal to 4.5 million rubles, fire extinguishing expenses have come to 101,000 rubles.
