Azerbaijan is marking the Day of Oil Workers. On September 20, 1994, Azerbaijan signed the contract for development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field.
Azerbaijan will realize construction of the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) for gas transfers. Contracts for sales of Azerbaijani gas to European companies were signed yesterday.
The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has subsidiaries in Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Switzerland and other states. It is planning to purchase shares of Greece’s DESFA.
