According to a study carried out by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), 76% of respondents approve of Georgia's participation in the Olympic Games in Sochi, and only 11% oppose it.
89% believe that the negotiations with Moscow on the return of Georgian wine, water and fruit to the Russian market were acceptable, while 6% of respondents find them unacceptable.
81% of respondents support Georgia's aspiration to join the European Union, and 9% are opposed to it.
The majority of respondents (71%) do not approve of the president's decision to withdraw from politics. But, at the same time, 18% of respondents believe it was the correct decision for the Prime Minister.
The study was conducted between August 18 and September 3 throughout Georgia, 3838 people participated in it. The research was funded by the Agency for International Development Cooperation of Sweden (SIDA), the field work was carried by the Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRCC).
