The explosion of a car parked next to the police department in the Dagestani village of Khuchni qualifies as a terrorist attack, a spokesman for the Investigative Committee of Dagestan said.
A criminal case was filed under Articles 205 (attack), 222 (possession of weapons) and 223 (illegal production of weapons, ammunition and explosive devices).
"The identity of the suicide bomber is investigated. It is presumed to be one of the members of the Derbent terrorist group," Interfax quotes the Investigative Committee spokesman.
The power of the explosive device was equivalent 50 to 100 kg of TNT.
As previously reported by VK, this morning in a car bomb explosion three police officers were killed and 20 people injured.
