The Georgian Ministry for Environmental Protection prevented arsenic intoxication in Kutaisi, Trend reports.
The Tskhenistskali River overflowed after recent heavy rains in the Lentekh District. It damaged the old metallurgy facility producing arsenic. Some of the arsenic got into the water.
Specialists have prevented water from the river from entering the pipelines. Studies of the Tskhenistskali and Rioni Rivers say that there was no intoxication.
