Russia has evacuated its diplomats from the embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli after the attack on a diplomatic mission, which took place yesterday. Today, the embassy staff and their families traveled to Tunisia, from where they will fly tomorrow to Moscow.
Since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi there has been a number of attacks on foreign embassies in Libya. The most notorious of these was last year's attack, during which the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed. Today, the US has officially condemned the attack on the Russian diplomatic mission.
