A group of experts discussed today the developments of Circassian culture and the current tendencies in the life of the Circassian diaspora in the countries of the Middle East. Deputy Head of Federal Agency for CIS Affairs Georgy Muradov, Rector of the State University of Kabardino-Balkaria, Barasbi Karamurzov, and the Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza, Alexey Vlasov, and other public fihgures took part in the event.
Barasbi Karamurzov noted that the University of Kabardino-Balkaria plays an important role in the promotion of Circassian culture.
"We have been working really hard in order to improve the level of education among the Circassian people, we are working with members of the diaspora and we are very successful. Over 1000 students are now working in the Middle East," he said.
Georgy Muradov underlined that the government pays special attention to the promotion of Circassian culture and the life of the diaspora abroad. "we have ties with Circassian communities in Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Germany and the United States," he said.
