Eid al-Adha in Ingushetia declared a public holiday

The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bairam ) which falls this year on Tuesday, October 15, has been declared a bank holiday. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of Ingushetia, Yunus- Bek Yevkurov, and posted on the official website of the Republic.

 

In connection with the celebration,  the head of Ingushetia instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia to take additional measures to ensure law and order.

 

"The government of the republic of Ingushetia should ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity, gas, water, the operation of communications and pay special attention to healthcare facilities and social protection," the document says, quoted by YuGA.ru.

 

Eid al-Fitr is the annual festival of sacrifice for Muslims, celebrated on the 10th day of the 12th month of the Muslim lunar calendar.
