The Chancellor of I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgy Hubua officially declared his early retirement last Friday, Georgia News report.
The Academic Senate of the University expressed its disagreement with Mr Hubua’s decision, but it had to accept it.
Previously several collaborators of the University’s library were arrested on charges of criminal negligence: 39 rare editions of 18th -19th centuries disappeared from the library.
