The lawyers of Orkhan Zeynalov, the Azerbaijani citizen charged with murdering Moscow resident Yegor Shcherbakov, are going to file an official complaint against his arrest, Ekho Moskvy report on Friday.
According to footage of the arrest posted on the internet, the suspect was beaten by the police even though he did not resist. The video also shows Zeynalov was humiliated as he was forced to lie on the police car's floor wearing handcuffs and unable to stand up or sit.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bul-Bul-Ogly told the private Dozhd Tv channel that the arrest had defenately been a violation of the Russian and international law.
