Mourning for victims of today's terrorist attack to be held in Volgograd region

The Governor of the Volgograd Region, Sergei Bozhenov, has declared three days of mourning for the victims of today's terrorist attack in Volgograd, RIA Novosti reports.

At the moment, law enforcement officers are working at the site of the explosion.

It has been reported that a grenade was found under the attacked bus. 

According to preliminary data, the attack was committed by a suicide bomber, a native of Dagestan, 30- year-old Naida Ahiyalova. 

As of 4:05 pm local time, 27 people had been taken to hospital, including eight in serious condition, five people died at the scene, RIA Novosti reports.
