Terrorism is a social problem rather than an issue of cruelty, the president of the Association of veterans of the anti-terrorist unit “Alfa,” Sergey Goncharov, told Vestnik Kavkaza in an interview.
The expert notes that some 90 percent of the people living in the North Caucasus want the region to be a part of Russia. He also underlines that regional leaders are well-respected public figures.
