Famous people continue to visit the international camp "Mashuk". One of the invited guests was a journalist, member of the Civic Chamber and initiator of the project 'Peace to the Caucasus', Maksim Shevchenko. He arrived at "Mashuk" to get acquainted with the participants in the conference, the young journalists from the Caucasus, describing the idea of the camp as "very good".
"Useful things won't appear on their own, it all depends on us - the guests, the participants and the organizers. But in any case it is a good, correct and timely initiative by the president," said the journalist.
Answering the question of what the Caucasus means for him, the journalist said that the region is a unique place that Russia must not let go. He thinks that all people can be divided into clever and stupid, but not by nationalities, and he called on all participants to unite and cooperation.
Another guest of the camp was the designer Antonina Shapovalova. She spoke to the participants about how to create fashion in today's Russia. After a short discourse on the history of fashion using the examples of Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Chanel and Stella McCartney, she shared secrets of her own opening of the fashion house SHAPOVALOVA. During the "Seliger" conference her t-shirts with patriotic phrases were found interesting by the future president Dmitri Medvedev and that was a start of her career as a designer.
She also shared the secrets of creating a successful brand. "In Russia, as in any other country, art can exist only if it can by sold or if someone wants to give money to support it. It took me 2 1/2 years to get to it. The secret of my first successful shows on the podium is attracting celebrities to model and my ideas.
She also noted that it is important not to turn back, that it is hard to survive and everybody must learn how to sell their talent.
