Valerie Amos, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, said that about 9.3 million Syrians have become refugees, including 6.5 million internally displaced, Trend reports.
The official urged the UNSC to put pressure on the Syrian government and opposition to protect the civilian population and grant full access to humanitarian aid and rescuers.
