Tehran schools and nurseries were closed for three days due to high air pollution yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.
Private transportation was restricted in the city. The authorities organize regular ecological breaks, closing education centers and restricting sports events. Cars in traffic jams and cheap petroleum are the main causes of high pollution levels.
