A new article of the Russian Labor Code has been introduced to the Russian government. The legislative initiative will fix data on labor and residential permits of foreigners signing work contracts, Interfax reports.Lack of any of the mentioned documents would mean immediate firing of foreign workers.The new article obliges employers to put down information on insurance and medical services in the contract.The state border commission headed by Dmitry Rogozin initiated development of amendments obliging all migrants to get medical insurance and will change residency rules, Kommersant reports.The Federal Migration Service wants to grant foreigners entering Russia without visas or with work permits an opportunity to stay in the country for 90 days every half year. It wants development of electronic IDs for foreigners by 2015. Vice Prime Minister Rogozin will be in charge of the initiatives. Alexey Zhuravlyov of the United Russia Party said that the system will be implemented to prevent illegal migrants from violating residency rules.
