Sheikh Wajeeh Nuseibeh, Door Keeper of the Holy Sepulchre Church in Jerusalem, will visit North Ossetia on November 17 and meet local authorities, students and Muslims, RIA Novosti reports.
He will visit the City of Angels Cemetery, where over 330 people killed at the school N1 in Beslan had been killed, the new school, the Sunni mosque of Vladikavkaz, the Alansky Svyato-Uspensky Moonastery in the Kurtatinsky Gorge, the North Ossetian State University.
Nuseibeh’s visit was organized by the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee, St. Boniface Charity Foundation.
The Nuseibeh family got the key to the Holy Sepulchre Church in 638, when Patriarch Saphronius requested Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Caliph after Mohammad, to appoint a Muslim as the Door Keeper.
