The Supreme Court of North Ossetia today released from custody the suspect in the murder of the deputy prosecutor in one of the districts of Vladikavkaz, Ruslan Makkoyev, a spokesman of the court reports.
Looking back, as VK previously reported, the deputy prosecutor of the Industrial District of Vladikavkaz, Oleg Oziev, was shot in the evening on October 23 in front of his house. He was waited for by the unknown gunman, who took a few shots at him.
During the investigation, a suspect - Ruslan Makkoyev - was detained. On November 12 more than 100 people — his relatives and friends — gathered for a rally in front of the Interior Ministry of North Ossetia. The protesters claimed that the detainee was allegedly tortured. The same day, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the investigators checked the information, RIA Novosti reports.

"An instance of the possible application of methods of physical violence and unlawful methods of investigation has been verified. A procedural decision will be made on the results of the verification", the statement says.
