The summer labor period for student groups, working at Olympic facilities under the ‘RZhD’ title, will finish work on Friday, RIA Novosti reports, citing the PR agency of the Russian Railroads company.
Realization of the state youth policy of ‘RZHD’ involves systemic work on developing the movement of student construction groups.
Over 1000 students from all over the country, as well as special groups from Armenia and Kazakhstan, were participating. Such an initiative is unique. The best students will be rewarded on Friday.
The Russian student groups were celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2009. The movement started from the physics department of Moscow State University. The country’s authorities were ordered to develop mechanisms for stimulating employment opportunities for students. The notion of a ‘student group’ was introduced into legislation. The students groups were united into a single organization called the ‘Russian Student Groups’.
There are 72 Olympic facilities being constructed at the same time for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. 242 sports and infrastructure facilities are planned to be constructed.
