The Interstate Aviation Committee has received flight recorders from the Boeing 737-500 that crashed in Kazan, RIA Novosti reports.
The jet of Tatarstan Airlines was flying from Moscow to Kazan. 44 passengers and 6 crew members died in the accident. Both the possibility of jet malfunction and pilot error are under consideration.
A group of US experts is investigating the crash. They are unsure whether problems with the left chassis of the jet 12 years ago could have any impact on the accident.
Spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said yesterday that it was too early to draw conclusions.
