Russians in West want to return home – Russian lawmaker

Irina Rodnina, Russian figure skater, triple Olympic champion, a member of the Russian parliamentary committee for the CIS, said that Russia had multi-century-long relations with post-Soviet republics that went through hard times after 1991.

She noted that the program for resettlement of compatriots was efficient and was extended. Rodnina added that Rossotrudnichestvo helped organize a school sports festival. She said that other games were being prepared for compatriots for 2015.

The MP noted that there were shifts for children to study the language, Russian literature, to take part in sports. Shifts were organized for children from the Far East Region for many years. Rodnina concluded that Russians in Spain and Germany wanted to return to their homeland.
